Rev. Anna M Madsen describes herself on her Twitter page as "An ELCA Rev Dr...as a Christian I resist Trump." Here is her tweet about abortion and Planned Parenthood.
As the The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod invites members "to join two marches this month to show their support for the sanctity of life" (see here) you hear and see nothing promoting the protection of unborn children coming from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In fact, the ELCA supports the killing of unborn babies. Evil has taken over this denomination.
How anyone who is pro-life, who believes children in the womb should not be burned to death and ripped apart limb from limb by abortionists remains in this denomination is beyond me. I highly doubt any of the 66 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America bishops will "March for Life" or promote the cause in their synods. The ELCA's support for abortion (see here) and lack of support for any pro-life causes should be proof enough that it is not a denomination to be part of. Below is part of an email sent by Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America: . . . .But there is still work to be done and lots of it if we are going to end all abortions in our lifetime. Right now, the biggest challenge our team is having is not with liberal, public universities but Christian, private colleges! _It is unacceptable that the ELCA, a denomination calling itself “Christian,” supports and pays for abortions. (see here) It is a policy and action that is in total opposition to our Heavenly Father. Christ-followers need to speak out for life and work with pro-life organizations to stop the genocide of the unborn. _
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16 Here is a quote from an article by Robert Morrision posted by the Family Research Council. "ELCA co-owns a Chicago hospital called Christ. It was there that nurse Jill Stanek discovered little victims of live-birth abortions who had been placed in the broom closet in cold metal pans-there to gasp out their young lives in the darkness. Jill held these suffering children as they died, praying for them and singing to them. For her pains, Jill was fired by the administrators of this hospital." (read here) For more information about the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's true position on abortion visit Exposing the ELCA on Abortion. Here is a video of Jill Stanek giving her story about what is happening at this ELCA/UCC hospital - |
Dan Skogen 'See!' he said to all the people. 'This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.'
