Stunned by loss of building, Islamic Center members welcomed to Central Lutheran - read here
Jesus was nice. But there is no way He would let worshipers of a false god into the God's temple to worship their deity. The story linked below highlights ELCA people who think they are being nice. But they are sinning and walking in complete opposition to what Christ would want or do.

As we are taught by Jesus to love both those within the Church and the unsaved who are without, there is no intrinsic wrong in having Christians help Muslims in non-spiritual ways, such as providing food and shelter from the elements. Hopefully, this kind of assistance would be used by the Holy Spirit to open doors for Christians to share the Gospel of Jesus to those who do not yet know Him.

It's one thing to reach out in compassion to a community and offer prayer, support, and help. It's another to take a worship space that is devoted to the worship of the Triune God and invite a community of faith whose fundamental statement of belief is "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet" to worship there. It's a complete violation of the first commandment and it's blasphemy.

Somehow, I think the Mainline churches, and now ostensibly Evangelical churches such as Saddleback and Willow Creek, believe that if "we'll just be nice enough to the Muslims, they'll lose their hostility towards us." That may indeed happen in some cases, but Islam at its core wants to claim the entire world as its own, not by evangelizing, but by conquest. They wanted Constantinople and they got it. They still want Rome and are going to overtake a Christ-hating secular Europe by population growth. And right now, they are winning the fight for Sharia law in Dearborn, Michigan.

Dan Skogen 'See!' he said to all the people. 'This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.'
