Disgusting Comment by an ELCA Pastor About "The Evil of the NRA"

11/6/2017

A poster on an ELCA Clergy Facebook page asked for prayers regarding the attack on parishioners at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. Here is a disturbing response by ELCA pastor Richard Rentner:

I imagine supporters of the 2nd amendment and NRA members who are also part of the ELCA will not look very favorably on this. If that is you please click here and then scroll to the bottom of the page to read more about the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's view on guns and the 2nd amendment.

Pr Rentner's mini-rant is typical of the ELCA leadership, who value congress over prayer, who blame the protectors instead of the perpetrators, who keep twisting the "agenda of killing" doublespeak against anyone EXCEPT Planned Parenthood, ISIS, militant atheists, militant Islamists, Sanders-inspired terrorists, etc. The ELCA even fostered one of these killers, Dylann Roof, in Charleston about 2 years ago. Oh yeah, remember him? So it is hard to think of anything more hypocritical than the ELCA pointing an "agenda of killing" label at the NRA.

To the ELCA the only credible threats are police officers and LEGAL gun owners. Apparently, the ELCA is pretty much OK with agendas, killings, and killers -- it's just LEGAL gun owners that they want to outlaw. Like the heroic gun owners who helped stop the militant atheist in Sutherland Springs.

God bless America!

It was ILLEGAL for Devin Kelley to purchase firearms UNDER THE EXISTING LAW, but the law was not followed.

"In 2012, while stationed at Holloman Air Force Base, in New Mexico, Mr. Kelley was charged with assault, according to Air Force records, which said he repeatedly struck, kicked and choked his first wife...and hit his stepson's head with what the Air Force described as 'a force likely to produce death or grievous bodily harm.' ...When the prison sentence was complete, he was given a bad conduct discharge. HIS CONVICTION SHOULD HAVE PREVENTED HIM FROM OWNING FIREARMS. THE AIR FORCE HAS REPORTEDLY ADMITTED THAT IT FAILED TO FILE THE APPROPRIATE PAPERWORK TO REPORT THE CONVICTION TO THE FBI, AS REQUIRED BY LAW. Strange: When I read this blog last week, it had 33 likes; now it has none.

I believe I know why. Google adsense sent me an email saying my webpage violated their "program policies." It said, "As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on pages with violent content. This includes sites with content related to:

Breaking bones
Getting hit by trains or cars
People receiving serious injuries
News about freak or tragic accidents"

I have no clue how they could say my website had "violent content." Google said "Example page where violation occurred: http://www.elcatoday.com/witness-stone-blog/category/elca"

That page contains all blogs I've ever written. But this specific blog/entry was my latest so I changed a couple words and the title. It was and is not "violent," it was just reporting on vile comments by this ELCA pastor. I am not sure what google will say now. I reported to them that I made changes to the website. We will have to see if they are still going to accuse me of having "violent content."

But that is probably why it has no "likes" now. Because I changed the title and url of this blog entry.

"Then he (Joshua) took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the LORD.

'See!' he said to all the people. 'This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.'
